Rolex Sea Dweller

Rolex is renowned for its luxurious, sturdy and accurate timepieces and the Rolex Sea Dweller is one of the brand’s masterpieces. Launched in 1967, the Sea Dweller was designed to meet the needs of professional divers. Over the years, the watch has evolved several times, incorporating new and advanced mechanisms and watch-building techniques with every released version. The longevity of the Rolex Sea Dweller reflects quality of material and techniques used in designing and building the watch. It is an exceptional timepiece that is bound to preserve its beauty and functionality for several years.

Rolex Sea Dweller and it’s Deepsea variation was designed to improve on various elements of the Submariner that had been released about 14 years prior. An example of a challenge that divers faced with the Rolex Submariner was that its crystal would occasionally pop out after a dive. In building the Sea Dweller, Rolex took measures to ensure that the watch would withstand even greater depths without experiencing crystal pop outs. Since its launch, Rolex has continued to improve on the Sea Dweller, enhancing its functionality, longevity and aesthetics. Fitted with a helium escape valve, the Rolex Submariner immediately became a prominent diver watch.
